to nip the evil in the bud.Unfortunately, the prevalence of adult and children obesity is a threat to all of us. Obesity is not only one of the major risk factors of Coronary Heart Disease, Heart Attack and Heart Stroke but it may lead obese and over weight adult and children to develop diabetes mellitus, Cardiovascular Heart Disease. The fact of obesity reveals that obese people are more prone to have High Blood Pressure (Hypertension) problems with joints (arthritis) and breathing issues, like bronchial asthma, apnea obesity sleep and more like to suffer a stroke. More over, they also may suffer emotion and psychological disorders (depression). In that case some of them may need moral support for achieving their goals. There was a time when we could not imagine a child having diabetes or blood pressure but now it’s very common in children and adults reason being none other than obesity and over weight.
Causes of Obesity in Children & Adolescents:
Before mentioning the causes of children's obesity, I request the parents to promise to try their level best to wipe off the causes of obesity from the lives of their children/adults and would save your children from stepping on the stairs of obesity which may,God forbid, lead to miserable suffering. It’s necessary for the parents to understand the fatal consequences of this malicious evil and not to take it that easy. I agree fat and over weight children do look cute but you should understand that the fatal and wicked obesity disguises itself in cuteness and chubbiness.The two main causes are:
Dietary habits:
Firstly children & adults like to have junk food, bakery products, chocolates, toffees, bonbon, creams, cakes, brownies, pastries etc. cold drinks and hard drinks.Please try to eat the food in it's natural form that are fruits and vegetables. You may include white meat(Chicken, fish, prawns) in the diet but cook it without oil.
Lack of Physical Activities
Secondly, children's obesity is the result of lack of physical exercise. Children are found either in front of television or computer for hours with junk food in their hands.Encourage them not to use vehicles for going any where. Ask them to Stop sitting in front of the computer for hours. Make a time table for them. Try to involve your children and adults in outdoor games or activities like jogging, playing soccer, lawn tennis, swimming etc.at least for 1-2 hours daily. In a nut shell you need to change the life style of your children and adults. I assure you that if you remove the causes of obesity, the consequences would automatically vanish.
